Sell or comp tickets from the box office
The box office is where you issue tickets yourself: free comps, or sales paid outside your site. Owners, admins and order managers can use it.
Steps
- In the console, open Events, open your event, and choose "Box office" on the date.
- Choose how many tickets of each type. If you set tickets aside in a hold, you can take them from that hold.
- Choose the payment: comp for free tickets, or e-Transfer, cash, invoice or other (cheque, card terminal).
- Enter the buyer's name and email, and leave "Email the tickets to the buyer" on to send them.
- Choose "Issue tickets", read the summary and confirm.
Waiting for payment
- For a sale not paid yet, turn off "Payment already received" and set a "Pay by" date.
- The tickets are held for that order and none are issued until you mark the payment received on the order.
Good to know
- Comps have no fees. Packdoor charges no fee on cash or e-Transfer sales.
- A discount code works here with the same rules as on your site.
- The orders appear with your other orders, and the tickets scan at the door like any other.
