Switch to Packdoor
Moving from Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor or Posh takes an afternoon for one event. Start with your next date; keep the old platform until its last sold event is over.
Before you start
Packdoor does not import events or buyer lists from other platforms yet: you set up your upcoming events again (it is quick, and you can duplicate an event for a series). On Pro, it's done for you: Packdoor staff build your site and brand, and bring in your past events.
Step by step
- Create your site at packdoor.ca: your name, your web address, your province and city. It takes a few minutes.
- Choose how you get paid. In Settings, add your business details and connect Stripe for card payments (Packdoor reviews new organizers before cards turn on), and turn on Interac e-Transfer if you take it.
- Set up your next event: its date, its venue and its ticket types with the same prices as before. Enter your ticket price; your buyers see the all-in price, worked out for you.
- Make the site yours: colours, logo and home page in Website, then publish. To use your own domain, add it in Settings, Web addresses.
- Publish the event and share the link: your Instagram bio, your posts, your newsletter. Already have a website? Put Packdoor's ticket box on it with the embed code.
- Stop sales of that event on the old platform once your Packdoor page is live, so the same tickets are not sold twice.
Tickets already sold on the old platform
They stay valid there: scan them with that platform's app, or add those buyers to the date's guest list in Packdoor (you can paste a list of names at once) so one scanner handles everyone at the door.
Your past buyers
Download your order and attendee lists from the old platform before you close your account there, and keep them. Email only the people who agreed to hear from you: Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) applies wherever the list came from.
Coming from each platform
- Eventbrite: its marketplace sends buyers to events listed there; Packdoor sends buyers to your own site, so share your new link wherever your buyers already follow you.
- Ticket Tailor: you already sell on your own page; on Packdoor the whole site, the checkout and the emails carry your name, and Canadian sales tax and French are built in.
- Posh: your buyers already see all-in prices; Packdoor keeps that, with a lower fee and Interac e-Transfer with no Packdoor fee.
