Verify your domain in Google Search Console
Search Console is Google's free tool that shows how your site appears in search. You own your domain, so you verify it yourself.
Steps
- Add your own domain to Packdoor first (Settings, Web addresses; see the custom domain guide).
- In Google Search Console choose "Add property" and the Domain type, and enter your domain.
- Google shows a TXT record. Add it at the company that manages your domain's DNS, and choose "Verify".
- Open Sitemaps in Search Console and submit your sitemap: your address followed by /sitemap.xml.
Good to know
- Packdoor does not see your Search Console and does not verify it for you; adding the TXT record does not affect your site.
- A site on a yourname.packdoor.ca address cannot be verified separately: use your own domain for this.
